Just purchased a new 2320 today. What anchor type would you recommend for use in fishing the Chesapeake Bay area. Thanks

Congratulations on the new boat.

Last year I switched to a 22 lbs Delta Plow on my 27 Judge primarily because they are self launching. I installed an E-Z Anchor Puller windlass and with my Danforth anchor I still had to go up on the bow and kick it loose, with the Delta, I don't.

It has only let me down once, It was blowing a solid 20 kts against the tide and the Delta was skipping across a hard bottom. In all fairness, a friends charter boat was right next to us live lining and his Danforth popped free a couple of times too.

IMHO, using enough rode & chain is the key. Once you think you have enough chain, buy 10 more feet!
