What are you guys spraying/painting on trim pump and outboard bracket? I been getting barnacle growth I have in past used clear anti fouling spray paint. Tho was told clear doesn't work to well and haven't seen yamaha gray color in spray. Do I need to spray to protect the metals from growth?

Nothing really works, but Tri-Lux 33 is about the best you can get. Apply as stated on the can for best results. Don't waste your $$$ on Primercon or ANY spray can type stuff.

I'm using petit bottom paint this season was just trying to refrain from painting it all black. Not a huge deal to me. is it better to coat all that's under waterline for protection or growth ok around trim pump and ill just remove each season?

I have been experimenting every year with something:
NOTHING in a spray can works, save the money.

I had really good results with a West Marine Brand last year on bracket and tabs, tab ejectors with:
West Marine PCFA
Copper Free Ablative with dual biocide protection, slime and barnacle protection, it is expensive, but it worked and stayed on all season.

If that is a copper-based paint ... DO NOT use it on aluminum or you will be sorry ...
