Hi evrybody
I am very close to buy my first rigid hull boat and I found well kept 1800cc 1998 with asking price of 6k. My friend and fishing buddy has 2120 sport cabine and he is happy with it. I know, that Parkers are well build boats, but I am hesitant to buy such a small craft without knowing how seaworthy this model is. I am planning to use it on Ontario for salmon and within 10 miles zone in NY/NJ Atlantics. May be some of you can tell me the furthest they went on this boat in 3-4f waves... Another question I have is about life expectancy of 2 strokes 115 Yamaha. Seller states, it runs very well.

A week ago I left the marina in Yarmouth, ME for a fishing spot 20 miles offshore with my 1800cc. The seas were 4-6 feet. I turned around to go back to the marina after 15 miles. There were no other boats within sight. I think they were telling me something.

There is no other 18' boat more seaworthy IMHO. But it takes skill to operate in that environment. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

I'm a new 1801CC owner and would tell you that it can handle some pretty rough conditions. You'll get wet, but you'll be safe. I was a little timid with mine at first, so my neighbor (a Ches Bay waterman) took me out in 2-4 if not 3-5ft waves a few weeks ago just to get me comfortable with what she could do and how she could handle. While I personally was a bit uncomfortable (due to a healthy respect for the water) my neighbor was not. We did just fine and he complimented the boats performance!

This past weekend I took my boat on our first journey, from Peary VA around New Point Comfort and across the Mobjack Bay to the York River. It was glassy going over, and pretty darn rough coming back. We had to take waves head on coming out of the York, run 45 to them across the Mobjack and the ride the troughs and eventually run in following seas back home - so we got a little of everything. My two kids sat in front of the console and stayed pretty dry and comfortable. My wife stood by the console on the starboard side and got pretty soaked. I stayed dry with the exception of a few sprays. As it should be!!!

Bottom line, I was a bit nervous and for me it was pretty darn rough. But the boat handled really well. I have a 115 Yamaha 4 stroke and it worked great - only time I felt a little out of control was in the following seas but I think that is because I was unaccustomed to riding in those.

I hope this helps.
