Are Parker boats three piece of two piece hulls?

No particular model in mind. I asked because being new to boating, I check out other websites, and every once in awhile, the 2 vs. 3 pc construction method is discussed. Most seem to favor 3 pc construction, that being hull, liner, deck. Dusky and Competition boats post on their websites detailed info on why they believe this to be a better building method. Now, I am a fan of Parker boats, and when I buy another boat, I will make every effort to ensure it is a Parker. Only wish they still made the 23 W/A. That is why I asked. Would like to hear comments from folks on this forum, their opinions, on this subject. For the record I owned a Parker 2300 DV/CC, and while they center console is just not the right configuration for me, I never felt like I had an inferior product.

I hope this works but if you click on this link it's a thread of when I took a plant tour. Hopefully it will help you in your research. There is one pic of a 2320 SC top section and I think it will clarify how the 2 pieces come together.

Thanks, that was interesting and informative to check out.

Parkers are three piece construction (as I understand it). There's the hull (#1), the actual deck that sits on the stringers in the hull (#2), and the cap/cabin (#3).

Simple way to determine if a boat is two or three piece construction is to view the cockpit. If it is gelcoated and smooth from the deck up to the cap, it is two piece and may have molded inserts for rod storage. if there is a deck, then "raw" hull showing and then the cap, it is three piece.

Having worked on many boats, in my opinion liners are a PITA. Yes, they have a nice smooth, finished surface but they restrict access to anything underneath them like deck hardware that was installed before the boat was assembled. It requires installing access ports later on just to re-bed a piece of hardware.

Parkers are one of the best boats I've seen for access to things that WILL need attention at some point. Except of course the fuel tanks.....
but that's another topic altogether.

yep

HULL+Deck+Cap=3 piece construction

HULL+integrated one piece cap/deck=2 piece construction

...........one exception is the 23 walkaround. I do believe it is a two piece boat. It has been a long time since I was on that boat but it struck me as having an integrated cap/deck. Could be wrong though........2006 was a long time ago.
