Does anyone have a better location on where to mount the armstrong ladder then on the transom on a 2320 2014?

Nice ladders.
Strong, and the design makes for easier climbing out with fins on (if you dive), but that design also makes them difficult to store.
That is why most times you see them stored on the transom.

The one in the photo below is what I use.
Mine is a 3-step ladder that folds on top of the platform.
They are also available in a model that stores under the platform.

Not as solid and sturdy as the Armstrong ladders, but for occasional use it works fine for me.
Stores well too. :)

I'm really not a fan of the pogo stick. I just didn't wanna drill anything into the armstrong bracket. I see the port side has 4 buttons Of some sort. I'm wondering if there's ladder that mounts to those 4 buttons.

Most likely. Yes.

Holes for a kicker bracket.

It doesn't bother me about drilling the holes in the bracket...But you have to know what your doing. Most don't....They drill the holes and shove some stainless bolts in them and then wonder why it look's like crap in 6 months.

here is a close up of the hole drilled oversize and a Nylon bushing installed to isolate the stainless from the alum. The bushing has been glued in with epoxy.

Rubber strips to isolate the stainless ladder from the bracket.

Ah... I have the older 'skinny bracket' rather that the wide, one-piece bracket.
The full width brackets have provisions for 'accessories'. :)

The swim platform on top of my bracket was fabricated by the previous owner and doesn't have any of that.

Bobby... When my grandkids go swimming, I put a dock line on the rear cleat so they have something to grab ahold of when climbing the ladder.
I've considered putting a stainless grab rail on the transom just below the rub rail, but I'm not wild about drilling the transom.
How do you deal with a handhold when climbing the ladder?

They don't really use it much, as we spin the boat and put the ass end toward the beach. The ladder doesn't even get used.

But in answer to your question, where the rigging hose connects to the motor is a comfortable grab place.

Speaking of Grab places........ This grab bar across the back of the pilot house.....The more it's there....The more EVERYONE likes it.

Just haven't had the opportune to use it for it's "Other" purpose. No adult only outings :)

I am surprised the 2014 2320 doesn't have the female part/slot of the mount molded into the bracket like all the other 2320 models. The Armstrong ladder snaps right in. Teflon/plastic inserts come with it to isolate the 4 SS bolts.

FWIW the solid white aluminum Armstrong 3 step ladder will store in the transom box. I only take the ladder when we do family outings to the beach, otherwise it sits at home in the boat shed.
