So within the last 4 months I have lost 2 of the pricey armstrong tree style swim ladders (while underway) in the clips that are mounted to the transom. I chalked the first one up to a guest maybe not putting the ladder back in the clips properly but after the 2nd one I'm thinking this is more of a design flaw. Given how tight the ladder snaps into the clips i would never have guessed it could come out while underway even in rough seas.

Has anyone else had an issue losing ladders? What are others doing with the ladder? Has anyone done anything to better secure the ladder in the clips? Just about every Parker i see has the same ladder mounted to the same location so, im a little surprised this hasn't been an issue for others.

Thanks for the help.

I keep mine in the cabin, never mounted the clips.

Forum member tara11 has a tether line on his, if you do a search some pics will come up.
