Looking to add some control boxes for a second station. the local dealer had a 28 with the control boxes screwed into the side of the pilot house. Seems like he would have needed some sort of backing right? The control boxes were located between where the channel is that runs the cables and the floor so the boxes were on an angle

Does this mean the tower is on!!!!!!

Post up some pics.

Also, what did you find out for the dual controls??

calm down calm down. boat goes in monday for a week then tower on. i found a used dual control station from the bahama builder. saved a ton of money. rigging it myself and i have my buddy who does it as well. i will post pics when i get it on for sure. just wondering if the 28 had anything special or if it should be fine just screwing it on.

what does anyone think of gluing some marine plywood to the carpet under the gunnel in the pilot house and putting carpet over it? do you think that it would work?

I would pull back the carpet and glue it directly to the gelcoat.

Use West System epoxy thickened with cabosil and milled fiber.

Should work.
