I am experiencing the following problems.

1. The livewell pump is having problems getting priimed until i put the boat in forward motion. Then the bait well works and will continue to work until the boat is lifted out of water and the system is drained.

2. The center flow tube periodically comes out......( I guess I can figure this one out)

3. Last time problem 2 occured (last night). Some minnows tried to escape down the hole. Hole plugged. Flooded the livewell and the insulated cooler on the opposite side. I have not started following the pipes out, but I am guessing they feed into each other for draining.

Going to marina with plunger now.

BTW....The clam shell screen that is on the pickup tube, has the aperture facing forward. Ususally you see them facing aft. The previous owner told me he hadto change it to face fore, other wise the baitwell would not fill at all.

Is there anything I need to know or pay extra attention to?

A wet dry shop vac does a good job clearing obstructions in drain pipes. Not sure why you are not getting flow without moving...could be a vapor lock. When the boat is in the water there should be enough pressure through the seacock when you open the valve to push water to the pump.
