anyone going to the Baltimore show? Wish a fish night is Wed night. I cannot make it for Wed but hope to go over the weekend.

B-Faithful, I am going this Saturday. Making a day of it with family Making visits to the boat show and to the inner harbor. My wife is treating me for my birthday.

Will be there on Saturday no doubt, hope to see many of you. If I can shake this flu. :(

Actually. Kids have half day at school today and it would be a rushed trip on Sat so we are going this afternoon. I will report how it is later tonight or tomorrow morning.

HOLY SMOKES the show was DEAD. Same size and same vendors as last year (maybe slightly smaller but hard to tell). Big news was that the place was empty. My buddy who was working the MSSA booth said that Wed night was as dead as when I was there. Industry is HURTING. While I already bought my boat for the year, there were pleanty of eager salesman ready to "answer questions".

Notes from the show:

Favorite boat of mine, my kids and my wife was the 34 Parker. Boat even looks bigger indoors. I will say the new Everglades 35 Express was VERY cool and wins the coolest boat of the show in my eyes.

The Crazy over-priced boats were:
1. the new 28 Albemarle with twin 300 verados. Boat show special price was over 216k..... (its competitor the 28 Southport Express was 169k I believe).
2.The other over priced boat IMHO was the Ospreys. While a nice 24 pilothouse was there, I would never pay a blow out price of 8ok for it with a single outboard that didnt meet or exceed the quality of others in its size and price range (appeared closer to the 2320 than the 2520 IMHO)
3. 22' express by hydra sports was asking like 70k
I am sure the everglades were way up there too but the prices were not listed. I didnt even look at the Grady's because they were in the corner and kids went another direction.

Best value of the show was the Sea Hunts. Nice boats for the money and appeared finished very nicely.

Notes on the Parkers. I really like the new console on the 23se. I even think it improved its lines. I love the "cleanliness" of the layout of the boat. Nice job parker on the boat. It was priced at ~49k. The Parker 2520xl was another boat we looked at. Staple in the line up was offered at just under 80k.

Excellent report Greg!

Maybe you should buy the wife and kids that 34 Sport Cabin. :D

Why not kev, It actully wasnt much more than the 28 Albemarle (and I think the Albemarle would fit in its cockpit). Now If I could tow it behind my half ton chevy, it would fit in my driveway, and I hit the lottery, I would be all over it. Then again if a bull frog had wings he wouldnt bump his butt.

Truthfully, I walked away from the show liking my boat for what I do even more. Of course just taking delivery of it in Oct means I am still in the honeymoon phase. it is still a good feeling
