2300T Big Bay. Anyone familiar with the prewiring for the trolling motor outlet? I noticed the power feeds run from the plug to under the console. I was wondering it the batteries are recharged by the alternator, during run time, or do they have to recharged at the end of every day...ugh? Is there a connection to the main battery cables under the deck of the boat? If they have to be charged at the end of the day, is their an aftermarket outlet plug I could just plug it in to charge the batteries overnight?

I apologize for not being able to answer your question, but I was wondering how you like your Big Bay. I am considering purchasing one and was looking for a review and trying to decide between the 21 and 23. Any advice you could share would be greatly appreciated.

I can't answer your question directly, but if you call the factory at 252-728-5621, I'm certain that they can help.

Good luck, and let us know what you learn!

Running your trolling motor on your starting battery is asking for trouble. I always use a separate bank of batteries for my trolling motor and use a Guest battery charger to maintain these deep cycle batteries. I don't currently have a trolling motor on my 1801 but use the above setup on my duck boat that doubles as my freshwater fishing boat.

I would assume that Big Bay is wired the same way. As Megabyte has suggested, call the factory to be sure.
