I think I may keep my 2110 instead of selling.

Plan would be to ship it to Florida and leave it on my parents lift to use on vacations.

Can anybody recommend a reliable transport company from Beaufort, NC to Sarasota, FL?

So glad I was able to convince my wife the engine would work with sporadic use between layups. Hope I'm right!

Call Burce Dawson here in NJ... he does tons of trips to/from FL and your area. I've been dealing with him for about 20 years and there is no one that I trust more. 609-226-3788

thanks for the suggestions. James was half the cost of the company Parker uses with their 75' flat bed.

So db... did you use James? How did that work out? I only ask because it's looking more and more that I'll need to hire someone to transport a boat from somewhere up north down here to Florida, since I can't seem to find the boat I want in the local area. Can anyone give me a rough guesstimate on costs to do this?

Thanks.

I haven't used him yet, but speaking to him on the phone he seemed very knowledgeable. Price was reasonable, too. He mentioned that trips under 1,000 miles cost a little more, but the price from NC to FL was just over $1,000.

I don't need the boat in FL until mid-November, but plan to ship it down in the next week or two.

I'll let you know how it goes.

I would recommend All Boat movers LLC from Odessa Florida. They helped me moved a boat from Rhode island to Juneau AK. They worked great with my schedule and were actually delivered the boat early enough to meet a barge in Seattle to go to Juneau. Greg Hutchens was great to work with. The cost of the trip was about $5600. it was nice they provided me with e-mail updates on the boats location during transport.

James delivered the boat last Thursday without incident. There was a several day delay in picking up the boat, but he was in the hospital with pneumonia, so can't hold that against him.
