looking to put a boot stripe on my boat what color and size looks the best

The first season that I owned my boat, I put on a red tape boot stripe. It was 2" tape separated from the bottom paint by 1".

That first season took a toll on the stripe because the bottom paint line wasn't struck properly and the water did a number on it that year.
I removed the boot stripe when the bottom paint was re-done before the next season and hasn't been replaced.
I consider replacing the stripe every year, but just haven't done it yet.
Tape kits are pretty cheap, so if you don't like it, you're not out big money.

As for color, I think (almost) any primary color works on a white boat.
Red, blue, green, black... almost anything would look good except for yellow.

I personally think the red boot over the black bottom paint looks sharp! I use 2" boot with 1" of glass in between. To me, it is the separation of the boot stripe to the bottom paint that sets the hull off.

Here's what a green booth stripe looks like

Thanks, nice looking boat Capt Kevin!

Thanks.
That one was sold when I bought my present 2520.

That Dusky is the only 17' DVCC I've ever seen by any builder, and she was a very solid boat.
If I hadn't found my present Parker for such a good price, I'd probably still own that little CC.
