I'm looking for any information that would provide assistance in installing a Windline CAM-4 pivoting anchor roller on the bow of a 2120 Sport Cabin. The 2120 does not have a bow pulpit so I'm attempting to install the roller to the deck at the bow. I know I will have to move the marker light and I've fabricated a 1/4" stainless steel backing plate. Most of the information I've been able to find recommends installing the roller with less than 1/3 of the overall length overhanging the deck. This is impossible with the hinged roller as it would not allow the roller to pivot properly. One option is to install the roller on a raised block of some type (starboard)

Any links to previous projects would be appreciated

You say there is a recommendation of a certain overhang....Sometimes as you have found out that would need to be changed as you have found out...Your's is a pivoting type....theirs more than likely was not......Adjust accordingly. keep it far enough away so that the anchor does not have a chance to come in contact with the hull upon retrieve. You may just need to install a Pulpit...I would NOT use Starboard.
