After reading post about the motor bracket zinc not being eaten, checked mine. Sure enough the bracket zinc looked brand new and was mounted to a nice coat of paint underneth. Hard for a zinc to do it's job under such conditions!!!! :wink:
Sanded the paint away so now zinc is to metal, rather than zinc to painted surface.
Thanks for all the post on brackets. Sanded down old bottom paint (most positive not made for alumi), going to prime and paint with 33. With the zinc working and correct paint for alumi bracket these easy steps now should avoid any problems down the road.
