Probably doesn't apply to most boats, but here is my 2110, a work in progress to make the most out of very limited space. I'm in the process of building a piece that will mount where you can currently see the black strip (port side, next to the flares) that will hold plates/cups/paper towels and some other small items. I did open up the space below the flare holder near the rod holders for additional life jackets. This had been a solid plywood cover. I built a shelf and mounted it behind for this storage.



 
I have that same cup holder/junk holder. In fact I have 2 of them. One is scred down just to the left of the helm on the dashboard.

The other is on the table. held in place with HD Velcro. That way it can be moved if the table wants to be used for a bed.
 
I have a center console and I made some storage out of milk creates.
