OK damn winter blues got me going to fishing school....lol

Well it was a day well spent

Sat in on Big eye trolling

Sat in on Tile fishing and anchoring in deep water 600' plus

Sat in on rigging your own ballyhoo(excellent) and will help u to save money and rig a premium bait

Sat in on Sword fishing(awesome)

WON A RAFFEL PRIZE 8' GAFF (awesome)

Was impressed with 1/2(50%) of the "SHOW" was solid down n dirty info

Some worth while vendors to see

BHP TACKLE......this man Basil Pappas is an absolute guru when it comes to hollow core , braid and the like

http://www.bhptackle.com/index.php

learned that the best pair of pliers of crimp pliers (portable) are the "CENTRO" CH-18

and much more....

The only issues i had are that its "SEE THROUGH" apparent that this is a business!!! and it's kinda hard to swallow at $3 a frank !!!

ONLY MY opinion THAT JUST MINE, its a glorified side show with a few darn good lectures mixed in with "BARGAINS" from a select few booths"

DONT get me wrong , I had a great time , good people , but its very condensed and they had 300 plus attending so the lectures were compact in nature with a lot less hands on due to time constraints

If you are an avid off shore guy "GO and make deals to buy awesome gear but haggle I didnt see many guys leave with out asking for the world... some got it too.

I didnt buy anything....Not in the budget

But , from what i can see/saw if you are an avid, experienced off shore guy with little need for gear and you know it all lol its not for you .....

I would probably go again buy only in a group for laughs and a little more info .......Go in a pre registered party of 5 u get 10% off and a free green machine rig.......

So im not really disappointed, nor impresses 1-to 10 i'd go 7 .....

I would of been nicer if they didnt charge for food(kinda of an insult) for 120$$$ you only get the lecture, a "POOR" and i mean "POOR quality photo copy book!!! and if your lucky like i was u could win a door prize.....

If you r a newbie like me to offshore then go, its beats staying home waiting for the snow to melt!!!!

I've been to 2 CRunner seminars. I've enjoyed them both and expect to go to the next one in CT on April 10th..

I always learn something new and look forward to running into others who have the same offshore passion that I do.

I think its more about networking and fun too....

I stated i'd go again too!!! but with more friends so we could do the "GROUP" thing .....

Some of you guys have years of experience off shore so its kinda of a refresher/fill in the missing info kinda things.....

For a newbie off shore its a lot to digest in a few mini lectures........

PLUS WE LOST AN HOUR DUE TO WETHER IT STARTED WAY TO LATE past 10 20 am and it was kinda of rushed!!!

Way to condensed , but again FUN and my biggest gripe is the food ...lol

They stated they have been doing them for 10 years .....has any one gone to the old ones and then the last one to compare?
