This isn't strictly a Parker question but I have a Parker therefore I thought I was eligible to ask the question. I need a new large cooler and people on my boat will stand up on top of my cooler to reach rod holders that are mounted on a sun shade  . Question: Is anyone familiar with the YETI coolers? Are they as strong as they advertised? Will they take the abuse of someone standing on them?

Thanks

Without question, they are very durable and are every bit as good as advertised. Get over the price point, and you have a formidable, insulated box.

I have two coolers bought at walmart for less than $50 and they are huge, we stand on them all the time, one is over 5 years old.

Cheaper to buy new cooler every few years rather than spend money on a yeti for that reason.

Now if you need to keep Ice for over a week, different story.

I have a Yeti, and love it.
Another positive for the Yeti; I had the rubber pieces that hold the lid down start to crack slightly and I called Yeti to let them know. They sent me a new set with no questions asked.
Great customer service!

I think you just made the point for the Yeti. 50 dollars ever few years, or buy a Yeti once. Don't get me wrong, I certainly have a garage full of less expensive coolers that keep stuff cold just fine, but I like to run a dedicated cooler for an ice slurry when out meat fishing for getting the catch cold/dead super fast. Moreover, we will put our boat in the water at the beach on Friday night and pull it out Sunday afternoon, and rarely have to worry about ice in the drink cooler.

Bryan - One thing I will point out is these things are a bear to lug around. Get them on the boat and leave it there, because it will weigh a noticeable amount more than other coolers of similar size. Moreover, even the smaller Roadie isn't the funnest thing to lug around a tailgate.

big and small, cheap and not so cheap, i think i have them all. my wife says "no more." i think Yeti and Icytek merged. i have an Icytek.

different cooler used for different trips. the Icytek goes on the overnight trips. and true dat.........while i love it, it's heavy and i hate moving it on and off the boat. stronger than a brick ********* though.
