1/4" 6061 aluminum plate

Miller welding set up (lol) obvious that they r welded just kidding

going to use 1" tube and a radius bender and then tweak it to the shape i need , then im going to fabricate some plate tabs to hold the starboard in the corners of radius.

After its all mocked up and welded ill take it off grind it a little and then make backing plates. then ill refasten it.
The real bitch is that there isnt really a flat surface on the whole darn thing.!!!

The bitch is the time it takes, more than the material !!!!

If i did it 4 someone i'd charge 650 ..... my cost is under 150 material but its a killer amount of time to fit/refit and get it to look nice.

My goal it to make it look factory and it will !!!

2nd round of mods will be a custom fillet table that fits over the live well but thats when i feel like it ......

I know your gonna' grind off the corners and smooth it out when it's done. It's beautifully overbuilt. Nice to see a man take pride in his work.

better to over kill then let my fat friends bend it !!!!

The gussets are under about a lb# each and , yeah i guess i could of went with 3/4 or 7/8 tube but i plan to make a custom bait table that goes over the top of at least half of it plus im going to fabricate a tackle station that fits under the larger side 10" deep , 22" wide and 30 tall, it will hold 10 plano''s and then a bottom shelf for line and tubes...

Can't wait to see the pics when it's done. Need something like this myself.

Almost there ,

I hate to be a skeptic but i looked at tank and sumthin didnt look right so i went on line ....

looked at the tank print, it didnt match the description that the online blueprint showed.
emailed kodiak and found out im lucky. Turns out I live 20 min from Kodiak mfg distribution.... going to drop off tank tomorrow morning.

They will fix or replace No charge!!!

Meanwhile i finished aluminum fab just gottta take it off to polish rough corners and such...cut the backing plates too....

Gotta buck up and find a 36" x 40" seafoam 3/4" board ....!!!!

You found me out.....

Yes the starboard is 3/4"
and the space is set to 1.5" allowing for this a an additional .75" will create a nice space for hands...i tested it before i ordered the materials...

Also took the unit to kodiak/todd its fine its the thru deck unit , the website showed the on deck unit !!! ......

Waiting on starboard..!!!!

Ok so it was a blowing 30 to 40 mph yesterday, and today was a blow out as well so
i decided to get off my ass after watching my first place JETS loose.....

Didnt want to waste any starboard so I ordered an piece a smidge bigger ....u will c the pick of waste.

It was mocked up with zinc hardware, so i went out to Port supply/WestM and wiped them out to bad they didnt have enough 4 me ......

Now 4 the input process!!!
Ok I plan for :
4 zero degree rod holders (for storage and to rig up)
2 to 4 Stainless cup holders
Quick mounts to adapt a removable bait table(future)

LAY IT ON MY PARKER FREAKS..!!!
