planning on using seafoam to decarb my motor this spring. Did search but alot of different opinions. Rather not use secondary tank. Should i just fill my fuel water seperator w seafoam or use the spray into the intake since i have a carb 2-stroke?

DO NOT fill the f/w cartridge ... as motors run on fuel ... not additives ...

If not using the aux tank method, be aware you are missing some of the critical ports in a carb, which would otherwise be cleaned out when run with the fuel.

Yea, you really need to do the 6 gallon tank in order to do it right.

You also need to WAIT the 15 min required in order for the seafoam to work.

With all that said ... for a cylinder decarb ... I have used just the DeepCreep spray version of Seafoam, every 50-hours regardless of the method.

Thanks guys, Brian dont worry I didn't forget I still owe you coronas haha. Looking forward to a Parker meet up again. With the Deep Creep do I spray into the intake and try to stall motor as I would with fogging? Whats the right method of use for Deep Creep.

Pretty much, but I remove the air silencer, put her to no more 1500 RPMs and move from cylinder to cylinder with a good 2-3 second burst in each ... for a good 4 or more shots each, then let her sit for that 15-minutes. Repeat, repeat, ... until the smokes disappaited. Read carefully the followup, i.e., motor around slow for a good 10-mins before getting up on plane and take her up easy and vary your throttle ... working the rings, then a few blasts of high speed before you take her up to WOT.

Make sure to re-install the air silencer before applying power  , or she'll run lean.

Not sure if its the "right" thing to do or not, but I had great results recently just pulling the plugs and silencer in my Ox66 motor, spraying a good dose of DeepCreep into each of the plug holes and each of the throttle bodies, then bumping the starter a couple times and letting it sit and marinate overnight. The next day, put her in the water, fired her up and watched the black goo drizzle out of the exhaust port for a minute along with lots of smoke.

After that, putt-putted out of the harbor, took her out for about an hour and she ran GREAT. Idled better, accelerated better, and according to the floscan, got better gas mileage (went from about 14-16 gph @ 4600 to 12-14 gph).

Couldnt find the deep creep in my nearby autoparts store. Got my waterpump kit at a yamaha dealer. Asked if they had it, but said they use a yamaha brand which is similar to seafoam spray. Its yamalube quality care combustion chamber cleaner. Anyone use this before? Gonna try that out today.

Every OB makes sells an alleged similar product, it's just usually wicked more expen$ive. Be sure to follow the instructions on their container. Seafoam is typically 1/3rd to 1/2 the price and works faster.
