dont have a parker yet but looking at a 2520 to buy, building a new dock, how high should the dock be off the water to get on and off easy
thanks, about a 1.5 ft in change in water low to high
thanks

FWIW we have 9-10' tides where I am and they float about 16-18" off the water. That said, while I have a darn near consistent ~6" setup to the gunnel, then I have the 20" step down into the cockpit. Just yesterday I tripped going back into the boat and almost went ass over tea kettle  !

That said, where it sounds like you're making a "fixed" (non-floating) dock with a fixed height ... boy, just glad it isn't me making the final calculation!

SOUTHWINS... go to your profile and put your location in the "Location" field.
That way people near to you can answer your location specific question.

In my case, our tides average 2' at the most. The docks at my marina are fixed, and are probably no more than 2.5' off the water at low tide.
This view is probably about mid-tide...
