My swim platform is always half way in the water, not sure if this is normal for my 2000 se 21, the gas tank is filled to 1/4, Im starting to think that the foam underneath my deck might be water logged and adding extra weight, any ideas guys?

It looks about the same as mine, just a couple of inches up from the chine. I'll check my 21se when I launch on Monday.

thanks, if you could take some pics that would be awesome, the reason I ask is because it originally came with a 150 2 stroke and I bought it with a 225 4 stroke, so I was thinking the added weight may be a factor of it sitting low, thanks for your help.

The real question is whether you ever get any water coming back in your scuppers. Are you having performance issues? With a 225 you have added some additional weight but not that much. The boat is rated for a 225 and the weigh difference in a 2 and 4 stroke is at most another 100lbs. That is really not significant. I doubt seriously you have saturated foam as it is sealed outside the fuel tank box and unless you have soft spots in your floor it is going to be dry. Post some additional pics showing where your water line is on the boat in several places and those of us with 21SE's will be glad to share our measurements .

Thanks for the response, no water comes in the scuppers, as for performance
3000 rps 18/19 mph
3500 rpm 24/25 mph
4100 rpm 29 mph
4500 rpm 32 mph
5000 rpm 36 mph
5500 rpm 39 mph
6000 wot 43/44 mph on a flat day
the deck is solid with no soft spots, the foam was just a guess. I just ordered a 4 blade prop from power tech, they claim its a stern lifting prop should be in by monday.
the water line goes all the way up, to the middle of the seat in front of the center console if you look at it from a side view, hope the picture helps with my explanation. Also from the transom water line to bottom of boat she sits 4 inches in the water this is the magic number that I am hoping someone can help me with, I was not on the boat at the time with about 1/4- 1/3 tank of fuel and nothing else of added weight on the boat.
thanks again for all your help

Have you calculated the weight of your boat loaded? I am guessing my 21SE weight loaded on the water at 5300#. How do my numbers compare to yours?
Boat- 2635
Motor (200 Yamaha SW II 2 stroke)- 500
Fuel (95 gal)- 550
Bait tank (45 gal)- 300
Top- 200
Batteries- 150
Anchor- 50
Equipment- 200
3 people- 600
Ice- 100

Your weight as described is about 4000lbs which matches up to the 150hp performance bulletin. I would think you should be getting more speed than you are out of a 225. My 200 turning at 5500rpm and trimmed gets me about 50mph and I am pushing another 500-800lbs. Your new prop may solve some of this. All of this has nothing to do with your question regarding sitting low, but my thoughts are your boat is not really low. Granted another hundred lbs on the transom will make it sit a little lower but I do not think it is an issue worth worrying about. Your performance numbers don't look bad, but I did expect to see more top end. Is your throttle responsive? Do you ever feel like you don't have enough power?

This is what I think. When im cruising at any speed my anti ventilation plate or cavataion plate what ever you want to call it is about 2 1/2- 3" below the water line. everything i have read say it should be right at the water line with no more than 3/4" difference. Im thinking the lower unit is dragging.
OK easy fix move the engine up a notch or two right? Wrong!!!
the way the holes were set up from factory with an old 150 2 stroke bracket and my new 2005 4 stroke motor and bracket I have TWO SPACES on the top two holes that my motor can go up BUT the slot on the bottom two ARE MAXED OUT. in other wards I cant move my engine up with out making new holes in my transom for the lower holes and plugging up the the old ones.
Yes everything ive read says that the bottom of the boat should be level with the ventilation plate and it IS, but still its three inches under the water when driving.
I know its alot to take in, but im at witts end trying to figure out if my boat is *** heavy because of weight of the engine, height placement, water logging, ect... the rmp stats compared to yours surly show that I have a problem, not sure how to proceed.
P.S. my prop came in late today hope this may help, will post new rpm stats with new prop.
Thanks for taking the time :(

Drag can surely slow you down. You may have to drill new holes. Filling the old ones is not that difficult. Do you get a lot of spray? Is your steering difficult

I have a 2007 2100SE with a Yamaha 150 4 stroke. My swim platform is 6 inches above my waterline. The bottom of my scupper is almost 4 inches above the water line. I noticed from your picture half of your scupper is in the water. From the Yamaha spec sheet my engine weights 475 lbs, Your V6 225 4 stroke weights 608 pounds.

I didn't think the white thru hull fitting was the scupper. There is a black rubber flapper Perko scupper about 5-6" above the water line. The fitting at the water line looks like a bait well overflow.

Looks to me to be the item on the left, next to the motor. (cut transom)

correct the white thru hull is the bait well drain the black ones is the scupper.
Im hoping someone can measure how far the boat sits in the water that would give me a good idea of where i should be.
