I have a 250 susuki and I need engine muffs that actually work. purchased muffs from boaters world and do not fit well enough to get engine to pee. Anybody with a 250 suk have muffs that work?

My Honda wont pee on muffs either. I am not sure if it is due to back of the "cone" of the outdrive having intakes too that arent cover or what. Curious to see the answers here.

I recently traded my 2006 Triton 225 with a Suzuki 250 four stroke in on my Parker 2520XL. I had a set of muffs I have used on my Mercurys and on the Suzuki and it pee'd right a way after start up. I ran it many times after oil changes, flushing after fishing, and to run antifreeze through before winter. I bought it at Boaters World. It has round muffs and two supply lines from 1 hose fitting. I found one on West Marines site that looks familar. #8536971

Good Luck

I agree 100%. Use a barrel it's safe and will allow you to run until thermostats open to flush engine better. Muffs and your hose will not supply enough water and allows air bubbles to enter the water stream from other small intake holes and gaps in your muffs. Yamaha does not recommend it at all and I wouldn't chance it.

I don't have any issues using muffs on my Zuke 250.

If you have a flush adapter located up top like the Yamaha's do, then use a Y adapter in the garden hose and run water both high and low. That's how it has to be done on big Yammie's to pee. Hope this helps.

I have a F250 HP Yam 2006,when you say to use a Barrel, what exactly do you mean,Can a regular trash can type be used, the ones which are heavy plastic types ??

i got barrel from car wash, (got permission) cut top off so the barrel would be flexible. drill hole near bottom to accept drain plug to drain out water when finished. stick hose in top and you are good to go. i understand that some people have used the flush port while the motor was running, i don't think that that is a good idea. tinmantoo bel air 23 wa
