Hi guys,

I have a 2005 150 HP Yammy (4 Stroke). I have the motor bolted into the transom at the top bolt. If I were to lower the motor to another hole or two lower, 1) Would it be worth it? 2) Would I gain some MPH?

That does not make sense.

Look at the motor. Here is a pix. The hole at the top is #1, then #2 and in the pix, the motor is bolted in #3 and after that the bottom bolt hole is #4.

So now what hole is your motor bolted thru?

#1 would have the motor at it's lowest mounting point......IE: deeper in the water.
