Good day. I recently purchased a 1997 2330 DV and would like to attach some hardware to the insides of the gunwales for the boathook , gaffs and such. My question is if the inside of the gunwale and the outside of the hull are the same layer of fiberglass or is there a bit of dead space between the two that would allow me to use some short screws without risking penetration of the outer hull.

I am also curious as to how other Parker owners have created rod storage inside their cabins without through-bolting to the outside of the vessel. I emailed Parker weeks ago with my HIN asking for some information on my model such as wire routing , fastener blocking etc. but to date they have failed to respond.

Any info from the more seasoned Parker owners would be much appreciated. Thanks , Bruce

On our 1994 2320EC, the cockpit side walls are separate from the hull.
Behind the walls or liner, there is an inner space then the hull. Wiring, cables, etc run along the starboard side.

Our boat hook is old, all metal and long. too long to mount on the side unless I cut several inches off and sits on cockpit deck

We have a gaff on the other side held on some nylon clips and holds it securely but easy to release

We used some 3M double sided sticky pads to attach the clips
