I replaced my transom mounted 'ducer, filled 3 screw holes below the water line with epoxy, sanded, painted, looks good.

There is one screw hole about 8+-" above the water line that was used to secure the 'ducer cable. I have some gel coat to repair. I'm told the gelcoat won't stick to epoxy. Considering it's just one screw hole, how would you proceed?

micro balloons in the epoxy...then you can paint on it/gelcoat it

cabosil is still pretty tough stuff to get stuff to hang on to it, microbaloons is your best bet

Formula 27 then Gelcoat.

Its a poly product so no compatability worries and it dries quicker than epoxy. Since it is above the waterline, you don't really need the epoxy.

Good stuff, I too use F27 above the waterline and as stated, it is super for gelcoating over.
