Umm. What about the water the comes in when you slow down?

Yes- I removed mine the 1st day I brought the girl home! So much more room-
I installed a Yet slider system and placed a yeti 110 cooler on the slider. Perfect fit and awesome fish-hold!

Slider system forward to access bilge:

And closed slider:

I was having a discussion with my neighbor about his "notched transom" Mako yesterday.

You wouldn't want this on the Gulf Coast, as water is shipped onto the deck.

Not so Wart- I fished this boat extensively in the GOM until moving to jacksonville- never a drop of h20 on the deck...Parker aren't mako's... Classic mako's are a sinking hazard; and like you, I've owned a few- then I got smart and switched over to Parker!

I've had mine now for several seasons with the splash guard removed and water on the deck has not been a problem. I will say that it wouldn't be hard to put yourself in a bad situation offshore and have it happen though. It's something that you need to be aware of when offshore. I can't deny that I would prefer a solid transum but I still love my 2120.

I have a feeling our boat is very ass heavy. It seems like its way to low.
