I ordered a 4 drawer tackle storage with the 4 plano 3700 boxes from FinnAddict Marine. The door matches perfectly with the access door and electronics box on my 1800. Mine has the black acrylic doors with the starboard frames. A few tips:

The box did not fit my 1997 1800 console on the starboard side without modification. The control cables got in the way by about a 1/2'. I moved the box as down and far to the right as possible. I still had to notch the up left corner of the shelf box. This gave the cables just enough room. I then modified the upper plano box by cutting out the small back corner storage compartment. This allowed the box to slide in nicely.

The main modification that I believe everyone might need to do with these boxes is to remove mounting studs and drill and counter sink a holes instead. The studs will not allow you to tighten a lock nut. It will spin the stud and pull out the threaded insert. It worked out fine through bolted beacause all of my other doors are mounted that way.

I will try and get pictures posted. I wish I didn't have to notch the upper shelf but it looks and functions great.

Good luck,

Paul

IMO, FinAddict makes way better stuff than anything else I have seen. I have a custom sized 3 drawer tackle storage. They made it with 2 medium and 1 deep drawers. As with you, the starboard matches perfectly. Drawers are weatherstripped (no need for cover) and lock individually. I'll bet I have 5#'s lead in one drawer without a problem.

Hope you like your tackle storage, I always reccomend FinAddict.
