folding port bench

Has anyone hinged the back rest of the port bench in the pilot house?
We would like to utilize the space behind the bench for storage.
We have a 2320

My wife has a saw ready to go, I told her to wait until I consulted the high priests of Parker mods.........

Someone built a different storage cabinet under their bench seat on the 23. It now turns into a berth of sorts as well.

I removed the middle seatback bracket and use it the area behind the seat for cushions, throwable, fenders and sand chairs etc. It works real well for small stuff and gets the bulky things out of the way. If you ever sell the boat and they want it in there you can easily replace it. You would never even know it is missing because the back of the seat rests against the side of the cabin.
