Just got a set of Lees T-top outrigger bases. I had them on my last 2520 & had wedges made to compensate for the curve in the roof. Has anyone installed then w/o the wedges ? Do they look ok ? If not does anyone know the degree of wedge I will need. I cant remember, I am thinking 6 degrees. Thanks !!

Mine have no wedges.

Would you say that they are ok ? Do they lean out when upright ? What did you use for a backing plate ? Thanks !!

They work fine, they do lean out as you can see in the picture.

The previous owner installed them and used 1/4" aluminum backing plates.

Is there a rope between them ? If so why ? Thanks again !!

Yeah, I put a bungee with stainless clips on the lower eyes, it keeps the riggers acting as one unit and they move around less so it relieves stress on the poles and the hardtop in rough weather.

I have run with and without the bungee, not really needed but they are more stable that way, and very easy to remove when putting them out. I can reach the bungee when standing on the gunwale.

Picture without the bungee, I guess they lean out a little more.

i have the same out rigger set up as well .can you remove your poles mine are saltwater welided in......

Yes, the poles slide into the bases. and the poles are in 3 pieces.

Most of the time I leave them out, only really put them in if I know I am going to use them.
