Wanting to install a fresh water tank in cabin of my 2320 pilothouse 2005 year.
Have looked at two locations.
1- where porta potty is stored since we dont use it, under cushions
2- in the bench seat
wanting to see or hear from anyone who has installed fresh water tank after purchase.
sugestions are also welcome

thanks, charlie

I am also looking into installing a fresh water tank in my boat as well. I have a round hatch in the floor of my pilot house, my thoughts where to make that hatch square and drop a tank under the pilot house floor, there is plenty of room down there.

I guess the 5 years age difference has some changes. mine doesnt have the round hatch in the floor. I have two storage pockets 1 port 1 stbd under the sleeping cushions. i havent ever removed them to see if it is open below them. idea mine would work best in the center under cushions. this would put some weight up front for a better ride and get the nose down. having problems with pump plasement and electrical run locations though. i wonder where they put them in some of the other boats, we cant be the only two wanting to add fresh water.

Mike, Do you have a bilge pump down there?
My 1996 model year 2520 came with a factory installed 360 gph bilge pump in that area which I replaced with an 800 gph pump.
The pump is directly under the hatch and is plumbed to exit on the stbd side.

Once you find a place for your tank, you could use the same pump used for a factory raw water wash down, only plumbed to your freshwater tank.
The pump includes a pressure switch so it'll only run while you are using the freshwater shower.

Sounds like a good project.

I have a 2005 2320 with the factory fresh water and it is behind the passenger seat and is plumed out beside the gas tank filler to fill it and supply is near the stepdown where you walk up front.

Charlie:

My 2520 has the small forward-facing bench seat on the port-side in the helm cabin. I put a 15-gallon FW tank in there, plumbed via a Jabsco smalll water pump to the faucet on the SS sink pictured, on the custom teak/mahogany galley I made up.

Kevin yes mine is set up the same exact way forward bilge located down there. Id have to make that round hold square and big enough to fit a 5-10 gallon water tank down there.
Im assuming you are saying to mount another pump down there as well?

thanks everyone.. wildman do you have pictures of your system from factory... still taken all hints and sugestions
