Recently purchased a 98 2520 DV with a 98 250 yamaha Saltwater series ox66. I am curious to see how much fuel the guys with the same setup are burning per hour or per per mile. Ran the boat for the first few time this weekend and looks like I am averaging 1 mile a gallon. Ouch! Thinking of repowering with either a 300 or 250 yamaha or suzuk. Curious to hear if consumption is any better. Vito

Vito, that seems a little heavy. In the end allot will depend on sea conditions and how fast you like to run. I switched from a OX66250 to a Zuke DF250. Performance is better, fuel usage is slightly better but not remarkable.

Parker here runs a 2520 DV SC and claims to get around 2.6 mpg in low sea states @ cruise.

For that OX66 puppy, look here for DIY 'how to' info to clean that O2 sensor:

Dirty sensors are notorious for killing efficiency ...

I have a '02 2520DV and a 250hp Ox66.

The worst fuel economy I ever got was 1.2mpg in heavy seas, loaded down.

I probably average 1.6mpg, and often see 2.0mpg, lightly loaded, calm seas.

Do all the required maintenance on your Ox66 and I bet it improves.
