have a 2001 200 ox-66. thinking about sending injectors off for cleaning and bench check/s.

anybody done this.....any difference in performance and/or economy?

if so, where did you send yours and how long did it take, plus$$$

do in need to keep the injectors in some orderly fashion when i remove them, i.e. mark the slot.

do they provide new gaskets?

If they're not clogged I don't see why. A friend of mine did it to his Ox66 225hp and didn't notice any difference.

I run ringfree and do an occassional decarb (every ~100hours) and all is well.

john, you are probably right. if it ain't broken don't fix it.

but then again, i doubt if it will hurt anything. they give you a report, before and after.

ps: the one most referred to company (brucato)i talked with said most injectors they test are running rich, which affects performance and economy..........rough idling and mpg. i cost $140 to clean 6. my problem is pulling the boat during charter season.

company noted above also tests each injector separately, not as a set. which makes sense to me since they do not all deliver fuel at the same time.
