fuel vent on 2310

I've topped off the fuel tank twice now and both times fuel leaked out of my vent .The first time i had the fuel flow pretty fast and it leaked so i put it in slower and it
took the fuel but again leaked out as the nozzle kicked off. The second time i started off filling on the slow setting it only leaked this time as the nozzle kicked off.Any ideas on why this is happening ?

It happens to me every time I fill er all the way up. The pump kicks off as the gas gets to the top and then ........... GUSH. I make sure to stand away from the vent and make sure everyone else is clear as well. I have tired to judge when its full so I don't pollute or waste fuel but I have never been successful.
