Hey fellas; I love this site and have gotten some positive feedback before, figured I'd try again!

I've been having a problem taking gas on my 21 foot Parker, 150 HP Yamaha. When fueling up, sometimes the gas spits back out at me like it's full, when it clearly isnt.

I recently took off the vent on the side of the boat and cleaned out that area, which was all corroded. Since doing that, not only did the fuel spit back out at me, it wouldn't go down! I put in only 4 gallons and the gas stopped going down.

Keep in mind before I fuel up I usually always add some Yamaha Ring Free protectant and also some blue Starbrite Gas Treatment (to fight the Ethanol). I am open for suggestions!!!!

I just went through this with my 2110. Here's what I did.. First I asked here too, go to this post. >>> http://classicparker.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6433

Look at the 3 rd or fourth reply from DaleH and start with that. I cut 3" off my gas fill and that did not cure the problem. I next took the vent off the boat and brought it home. I soaked for 3 day's in salt terminator. That dissolved enough that I could see the screen inside the vent. I was able to remove the screen where I found another blockage behind that. I would have never found it if I didn't get the screen out. I used a flat head screwdriver and a compressor to completely clean the vent. I replaced the screen and reinstalled. Took her to the pumps and the gas goes in without a problem now. Good luck. Let us know how you make out.

Anyways, I took a compressor down to the boat, and blew out all of the corrosion that was in the vent. Boat seems to be fueling up much better, although it still was shutting off occasionally. I'll take it though...
