I just replaced my yamaha multifunction tach, everything on the gauge works fine, but my hours read zero. How do you get the new tach to read the engines correct hours? 2005 F225txrd I think I read somewhere that you can do a reset with the ignition key if you turn it on and off so many times to update the tach with the correct hours. Any help would be awesome thanks guys.

Nothing in the instructions or setup manual?????

Ask Andy over at SIM, he'd know for sure (if it was even possible).
I had to replace my bad multi function tach on my '99 2 stroker but it wasn't possible to calibrate (I have a separate hr meter anyway). Maybe it is possible on a 4 stroke.

I went though this very same thing when I repowered by old 25' Grady. Used 200 OX66s and new gauges. Andy and I figured out there was no way to run the hours up on the new gauges. It used to be possible (by simply turning the keys on), but Yamaha changed the gauges so they only count hours when the motors are running. He also recommened I try applying 12V to a particular wire (I don't remember which), but that didn't work either.
