Greetings all! Great site; I've done a lot of reading here over the last few months as a guest and gained a lot of valuable information.

I'm retired from the U.S. Navy and working a second career until I win the lottery or pay-off my house. After much research, looking at boats and talking to owners, I'm preparing to buy a new Parker 21' SE. Much as I'd like to make the Fall Chesapeake fishing season, I've decided to put some other matters in order and wait until the beginning of the new year to actually buy the boat. I plan to have it in the water and be ready for the Spring striper run. I live in Southern Maryland and will operate out of Solomon's Island.

I'm going crazy in anticapation but that's half the fun. I look forward to eventually meeting some of you and feel like through this site, I have a good resource for information and getting questions answered on many Parker boat, fishing, and related topics.

Fishing is one of the three things worth getting up early for!

Welcome. I am a recently retired guy that waited too long to get back into it. Just bought a new 2320 and couldn't be happier. I think I know what the other two reasons to get up in the morning are, but everyone has their own interpretation, right?

I too am retired military and did not buy my Parker until after retirement. I fish out of Solomons a lot during the summer (the NRC) and would be happy to take you out if you are interested.

Steve and RumRunner,

Thanks for the posts. Since my original one, I purchased the 2100 SE. I had a T-Top, chartplotter/sonar, and radio installed and put it in storage for the winter without having it in the water yet.

I plan on storing and running the boat out of Solomons NRC too. I'm using the winter days to prepare fishing gear for the Spring.

Steve, I may give you a shout if I have any questions - thanks.

I'll post pictures when I get it out next year.
