Folks,
I’m contemplating installing an HDS system with structure scan myself on my 2320. I've installed and flush mounted several different multi-function electronic devices, trim tabs, radio's etc. before on my other boat so I'm not terrified of the process but, my 2320 w/ full transom presents some challenges that I didn't have to deal with on my last boat.
For my situation the LSS transducer will have to be a transom mount, my first question is in regard to running the sonar cable to the black box from the transom mount, there is a solid armstrong swim deck in the way
I assume the only option here is to drill? it will have to be a pretty big hole to allow the plug to pass through.... once through the swim platform, I was thinking to leverage the engine harness rigging hole to get inside the boat but, there also doesn't seem to be a good way to get into that without creating a hole that water will certainly intrude through. Any thoughts? How have others routed the cables from the xducer?
