Help with a 2320

I am in the market for a 2320 and have found a one owner candidate which is a 97 hull with bracket. I am new to Parkers and tried to do research on hull design changes over the years but not finding the info I am after. Anyone can help? Would like to understand the diffs between older and newer builds. Any references on this or? thx

I have a 1994 and from my understanding the older ones (2002ish and previous) are more stern heavy than the newer ones. In the new models they moved the fuel tank forward to lighten up the stern a bit. The dash is bit different as well.

I have a 94 2320, also. The gas tank is 140 gal and located near the center of cockpit. Some tanks maybe more forward or aft. I have a bracket with a Yamaha F225 and real Permatrim but no trim tabs. Most of time we boat with 2 or 4 well fed adults in SW Fl. Boat has good power but a 250 or 300 would be better LoL We are not go fast or belong break your butt club but go as a fast as possible and remain comfortable and this boat is smooth.it is a mod v 21deg hull. The cockpit is huge and the pilot house.makes it a full season bost. The helm is full size and around 2005 it was changed to a smaller one on pedestals. Mine is extended cabin like a 2530 but tossed the refrig

The one I am looking at appears to have a std cabin. fine with me. I assume the bracket is armstrong aluminum in that era so no issues with hanging a trolling motor on the side?

Or bracket is made by Stainless Marine. If so, the hatch will leak. I replaced it and sealed it well. Warthog replaced his transom bracket hatch with the one from Armstrong and enlarged the cutout and no more leaking.

Trim tabs size is important and many replace with larger blades.

yes all those bracket hatches leak. plastic pos. I have fixed my ones with alum screw down plates with rubber seals. works great. just need to use a non copper based never seize on the screws and take em out to clean a few times a year. end of worries.

I had a kicker but took it off. A trolling motor could added forward, too. See recent posting with one on a 25. Fuel tank location is important, too, not a big deal to me because keep less than 80 gal in the tank

That fuel tank is on borrowed time. Whatever price you decide upon to purchase, factor in $5000 for a new fuel tank installation ( labor and material).

I have a 97 2320 with notch transom. DF250. Deep v. Great boat for last 16 years. Still on original tank and no soft spots anywhere on deck.

I’ve had no issues with my kicker on the bracket. I did add aluminum angles to beef it up a bit.
