I recently repowered my 2520 DVSC with notched transom from a Yamaha OX66 250 to a 2006 Yamaha F250 with left hand rotation. (Yes I definately have a 2520 Deep V with a single engine on a notched transom).

I called Parker and talked with their engineer about the prop. He recommended a yamaha black stainless 15x15 three blade. With this prop I get 6100 rpms WOT and I am making 17 knots. With three people on board and normal fishing gear I need to turn 5600 rpms to stay on plane and go 14 knots.

I tried a True Turn 15 1/4x15 and I only got 5200 rpms WOT.

Does anyone have this same exact hull, transom and motor who has already been through the pains of propping?

Thanks,

Brian

6100 rpm and 17 kts?
I know the DV requires more horsepower than the MV, but I think you have other issues.
5600 rpms to stay on plane and go 14 knots isn't right either.

Can you tell how deep your motor is mounted?
A photo of the mounting holes would help.
Something tells me it is too deep.

I think you need to check your motor depth first and correct it if needed.
Next, I would call Ken at PropGods...

Edit: Are you certain that the prop you have mounted is for a LH rotation motor?

Judging by the fact that it goes forward when I put it in "forward", I am pretty sure I have a left hand prop on a left handed gear.

So anyways, does anyone have this same hull, same transom and same engine out there?

I'll bet that if you put a Rev 4 17 pitch prop on your F250, your problems will be solved. Purchased mine through Prop Gods. When I received it I noticed It was shipped from Ed's Marine in Virginia.
