How long of a wire for windlass on 2120?

Need to order some 6 awg wire for the windlass, I read a other post of 40ft, would t that be tok short for a 21ft boat? Don't want to buy to much extra if I don't have to.

Well When I figure buying length.....I measure it out and add some extra.
The normal draw is 35amps.....[50amp Breaker] Mine was wired with 4ga. Why? To get Max performance.
At 3% Voltage drop it calls for 4ga in a 40ft run. 5% voltage drop calls for 6ga.
