Last week, I was removing and re-bedding all of the "stuff" on my pilot house roof. The 12th and last bolt sheared off and 1/2 remained INSIDE the grab rail threads. I took it to have it drilled out and picked it up today. The guy told me it "broke thru" on the opposite side. See photo. It's about 1" up from the base, maybe 1/4" size hole and he filled it with silicone. I re-installed because of the threat of rain and the exposed holes in the cored roof. Would love to get the season out of it, remove it in December and have it fixed. Any ideas for a temporary fix besides a dab of silicone?
Ignore the 2 small rain drops on the rail.

You could drill it out, thread the hole and seal with a screw or bolt. You also could probably find a rubber plug that will fit and seal it.
