How well will this style of anchor work on the Chesapeake Bay? Normally fish from the Annapolis Bay Bridge down to Solomons.

I have a similar style plow on my 2520.
The key to any anchor is not to skimp on the chain.
I have 20' on mine.

Put a boat-length of chain on a properly-sized anchor, and use good quality nylon rode. Never had a problem, even in soft mud. Delta anchors hold very well, but don't handle tide swings all that well. You can also rig them to have a hang-up prevention system by using the eye on the top of the shank.
