I want to install a seacock to use for a bait tank and raw water wash down and have a few questions.

1) What am I in for?

2) Is this a difficult install?

3) What do I have to look for before drilling thru the hull?

4) Is there any special tools I need?

I am thinking it will be mounted under the rear seat on the port side. (right rear looking from the deck)

The only other thing in this compartment is the second battery. Also will one seacock be enough for both the bait tank and the wash down?

Thanks
Mike

ive never done it, but i would think it would be pretty straightforward. as far as i know, there isnt really anything youd need to watch out for in terms of the hull, except for maybe position in relation to chines on the outside of the hull. tools, i would say a very good hole saw, as the cheap ones will not hold up to the thick glass. also, tape both sides so the gelcoat doesnt chip. the one seacock should be fine for both, you can install both pumps in line if youre not planning on using the washdown extensively while the livewells running. if need be, you can install a Y in the seacock, and run one pump off each branch. im sure someone with more experience will chip in.
