I'm trying to add some rod holders to the inside of the cabin on my 2120 (ordered some from ColdTuna)and not sure where I can put screws that won't penetrate through the roof or hull of boat. I just joined this forum and want to say I love my boat. This will be my third season fishing salmon and bottom fishing on the Oregon coast. Any help, suggestions or pictures would be helpful. Thank you.

Not sure what year your boat is, but I just installed a bunch of stuff on the inside cabin of my 2320 and that was a big concern of mine as well for some mounting I needed to do. I did in a couple cases instead of using self tapping screws on the console, just drilled through and used stainless steel nuts and bolts. Outside the cabin anything we did we of course used marine grade silicone from West Marine, about $25 a tube. Not sure what makes it better, if it is, but thats what I used. Not sure if the 2120's have a upward window in the cabin or not, but if so maybe theres a way of measuring the thickness or getting an idea of how much thickness you have to work with. Just my two cents, good luck to you.

Thanks Angus for the reply. My boat is 09. I have mounted new gps,ff,cb and misc stuff on the boat. Which parker has done a good job of building channels for running wiring and cables on the boat, plus a very strong dash. I'm just not sure about the thickness of the areas I want to mount the rod holders(along the side of cuddy or on the ceiling) I might just have to call them if I can't get any more ideas. I have found a tremendous amount of info on boating from this site and THT they both rock. Thanks Steve

Awesome Steve, this site has been a huge help to me as well and when I bought my parker jioned up, well even before. Good luck and safe fishing in 2014!

For the sides of the pilot house, you either need to through bolt or glue pieces of wood/plastic to the interior.

Your choice.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will go with the glue option. I don't like drilling anymore holes in my boat than are necessary.
