Do any of you have a jabsco washdown pump? Mine has performed perfectly until yesterday. I was doing some work on my boat while it's in dry dock (on the trailer). I turned on my freshwater washdown pump and began running it to drain the old water out. It ran very weakly until it pumped the remaining couple of gals of water out. It got progressively weaker until empty. The pump wouldn't turn off. I thought maybe the nozzle or hose was leaking. No. I pulled the hose off the under-gunnel fitting and put the cap on. The pump still ran. I pulled the filter off and it was clean. When I pulled the vacuum side off, I could feel a slight draw, but nothing to write home about. I reseated both fittings on the pump. Everything checks out, but the pump won't draw down. I filled the tank up about 3/4 full. Still won't draw down. House batteries are good. I couldn't find my paperwork and didn't want to disassemble without instructions. I'm thinking maybe the impeller is spun, but it sounds perfect. Air lock????
I would appreciate any help while I'm contacting jabsco.
Thanks and good fishing....

I just discovered that it's a diaphragm pump. I emailed jabsco. Boat has less than 100 hrs. The pump has probably pumped only a couple hundred gals total at most.....so not ready for new, unless jabsco mails me one. Thanks for the info.
