Very nice ! I should have told you about the shim you needed on the bracket. I too made mine out of Starboard. I got away with a single 3/4" thick piece. The color matched nearly perfectly.

Yeah, well, you learn as you go along. Anyway, a single piece would have been better. I just worked with what I had as I had already made a zillion trips to West Marine for other stuff.

Have you had any issues with that piece sliding around as the weather temps cause the material to contract?

No issues with the starboard moving around at any temps.
