I was reading the post here of the Raleigh boat show, and one of the things that caught my eye was the optional leaning post for the CC's.
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=14250

The center console boats come standard with a pair of captains chairs.
An option is to have a leaning post that replaces the two captains chairs, and bolts up to the two seat posts.
A great option IMHO.

I have always wanted to replace the captains chair at the helm of my sport cabin with a leaning post, as I almost never sit in that chair.
Too much boat traffic around here to sit. Gotta always be up on the wheel.
If I could remove the factory chair and replace it with a leaning post that I could also occasionally sit on, I would be a happy camper.

Anyone know of such an animal?

I need to look into that one.
I only need the top portion, and not the base, so I'd need to call them about that.
The rod holders wouldn't do me much good in the pilothouse, but If the pad was comfortable, I could make it work.

I found one on the Birdsall site that I like better, but it is quite expen$ive.

Again, I don't need the post, so I need to call and see if I could just get the top part.

How about one of these, I used it on a different boat and liked it.

I had one of those Todd posts on my last boat. It was a good economical leaning post but not really made to sit on.
