I saw an add in one of the boating magazines I read advertising LED Navigation Lighting. The product is manufactured by LuNasEa and can be seen at www.LunaseaLighting.com. My question is has anyone used this product for replacement of the bulbs in the Port and Starboard navigation lights? I am wondering if the replacement bulbs fit inside the existing lens, i.e. I would not want to replace the complete lighting fixture. My lights use the Festoon bulbs.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is a good find Bill.
I looked into this before, and found festoon LED bulbs, but they specifically stated in the specs not to be used as navigation lights.
I do not see that disclosure in those festoons from this website.
I hope others will respond. I see red festoons but no green.

Try mastlight.com for LED replacement nav. lights, prices seem to be pretty good.

Tim: I see what you mean about green lights however, if they fit into the existing lens case of your current navigation lights, you would want a white light.

Look at the web site Fishon posted, I gather that depending on which navigation light you are talking about, you would use either "white light" or "Warm Light"?

Here is a response I got from a web site concerning LED lights:
Please go to www.lunasealighting.com
click on Led Festoon check out the length of the unit you have it should be 31mm,37mm, or 42mm.. is the existing Festoon unit behind a colored lense fixture? what is the color Red, Green, white? if RED you can use the Red or White Festoon, conversely with the green lense use an green led or white led. Using a colored Led red or Green gives you a more defined color.

Found the following quote on the www.doctorled.com web site:
Note: White LED bulbs should not be used behind colored lenses in nav lights, as they will not
produce the required brightness. Only the corresponding colored LEDs should be used in nav lights
with colored lenses.

The doctorled web site has good information and West Marine carried their products.
