I purchased my 2120 last Sept and found the port actuator not working but the port did. I took the port actuator apart and found a stripped brass gear. I could not get just the gear and had to purchase a whole new actuator. Went through the painful experience of installing that. ( I learned a lot through my mistakes )
So here comes my nightmare.
After installing the actuator I went to try it out in my driveway. The port still does not work. I found I was not getting any power to the actuator but did to the control box so I figured it was a bad control box or switch. I had been wanting to convert to the LED switch / control box that shows the tabs position so it was a perfect time.
The conversion was very easy as it appears to be a plug and play install. When I went to test out the system with excitement I then had the port working and starboard not.
I then switched the actuator wire connectors and nothing changed. The port continued to work and the starboard remained dead!
This does not make any sense to me and I am really frustrated. It then dawned on me that I learn a lot on this forum so I should share my nightmare and see if anyone has suggestions.
Still love my boat though! Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Try pushing down on the tab while someone presses the switch.

Also, are you aware the port switch actuated the stbd tab and vice versa?
