Lewmar profish 700(horizontal) or lewmar v700 (vertical) win

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone of you can recommend which one is better in terms of realiability and dependibility between the 2... I heard alot of issues with the Profish 700 freefall (horizontal) windlass... It gets jammed alot and have to replace parts... If someone can advise will be well appreciated...

I have the 700 pro I had it installed on my 2011 23'sl, I don't know if I will convert to free fall. I would go with pro only draw back you have to hold down switch to anchor. I fish west Lake Erie 55' max so letting 120' out is no bigee. I would put a drum windlass if I had to free fall and let out 200'+ jmo. Walt ( I have a horz)

lewmar 7042- 15' 1/4" g4 chain 200' 1/2" 3 strand. I am going to up grade to Good RC A3
